Hello Everyone!
My name is Ruthie and I am from Texas! I am the girl behind Golden Rose Ranch! Most of the time compared to other stables I am sometimes embarrassed that my stable is not as large or productive as some others, but it is the way I want it to be, and that I am proud of. I don't do model horses for ribbons or special honors and no way on earth will I spend over a $100 on any one horse. Sorry artist resins! I am starting to become picky but when you do see a questionable model horse such as my Ginger don't think too badly of me. I know that they are not normally considered model horses in any way, shape or form but to me these where the very first horses that I ever owned. I never grew up around horses nor did I ever ride when I was young. I grew up watching horses on tv and begging my parents for a miniature horse while living in apartments. I may have grown up in Texas but life is not always what it seems and sometimes you grow up in a small world where a horse or pony can not just live in your room. I had my books and my movies and my barbie horses! Those horses are what gave me the imagination to even become a model horse enthusiast. |
So, why am I a model horse enthusiast? Model horses give me that outlet of having and owning a horse. I can't have a horse right now in my life and model horses have given me that opportunity to have and own horses and run my very own horse ranch like if it was real. I do have many other outlets now that I am older. I had Nader in my life but since February 2019 Nader has disappeared. He was a beautiful arabian stallion in a dark bay coat. His owner sold him and I don't know where he might be. Nader came into my life so suddenly and so suddenly he vanished. He was my horse! I loved him more than anything and if I knew he was for sale I would have sold all my model horses for him. He was a great blessing in my life to wake up in the morning and see him across the field standing at the gate waiting for me.

I taught him some ground manners because he was green and I am currently writing a book on our wild friendship we held together. The owner didn't mind me touching him and loving him like I always do. I never rode him! I just loved to run with him! He was the most beautiful horse that I have ever seen! He will always be my Nader aka my rear gift! I choose that name for him because he was such a rare gift to be in my backyard that day I moved into this house. I was so happy when I found out I had an arabian stallion in my backyard! But in time everything moves on and all you have is memories that you will cherish forever.

I love to play horse games! Star Stable is one of my favorites and of course I love doing realistic role play. Therefore, I founded Red Rose Stables! Can't have enough horse stables am I right? How did I ever come up with a name like Golden Rose Ranch? Well, it's not because I love roses! At first Golden Rose Ranch use to be Ruthie's Ranch, but since I grew up some, I changed the name to Golden Rose Ranch. I named my stable after the book I was writing; "The World of Roses"!

Ever since I was 4 years old I always had a dream that magical horses would protect me from my nightmares and these horses were majestic and strong. One was a black unicorn stallion that I named Adante because at first he was scary like a devil but he was kind on the inside when he protected me in my land of fairy tales. Adante means dancer and he would prance and dance around my room! So why Roses? Well, the queens and Kings of my fairy tale land where named after roses. I was Queen Red Rose because I had a tender heart and the Golden Rose was the most powerful of all for she was the Queen of everyone in the land. So, after much thought, I thought about naming the ranch after her. Golden Rose Ranch. It does sound pretty right?

I am not some little kid even though sometimes I seem that way, trust me I know!!! I am actually 25 years old but I started a lot of my pedigreed horses when I was 13 and 15. I was younger back then and I didn't know about a lot of naming rules. I am getting better! Since, of course, I am an adult I am finished up college and I graduated from Liberty University in May of 2020 with a bachelor's degree in business administration! I work now as a Staffing Representative at Onin Staffing in my home town of Greenville Texas. I hope to be getting my own place now. My dream in life is to own my very own horse ranch or a wild horse sanctuary and to bring mustangs back to Mustang Island, Texas.

Wild horses to me have been abused so much. Wild mustangs and green horses in general, if they are not trained or old and set in their ways, most people get rid of them or sell them off to slaughter. They don't understand the pure beauty of wild horses and how so much of their behavior and communications are still unknown to us humans. They are very mysterious and so many are losing their freedom every day. Sooner or later there will be no more places for the wild horses to call home. No more wild country for them to roam! They represent so much to America and what the Americans stand for! We have freedoms in America that other countries may not have and shouldn't our very symbol of freedom have that same right? For everywhere that the human travels looking across our history the horse has been there with us through every stride! through every war! through every stance in history, a horse has been at our sides! Their freedom is being taken away and I want to give them that freedom again.

My wild horse sanctuary will not just give the wild horses home to call their own but I want to educate people on wild horses and what they represent and how they behave. They are not local and aggressive that cowboys, rodeos, and equestrians make them out to be! They are family-oriented! The stallions will protect their mares and foals from everything and everyone, even if it means death. The horse mentality is beautiful and I want to help endorse it and watch it grow before my eyes and I want others to see it as well. I will start this dream out small but I hope that it will grow and that my dream does become a reality. A wild horse is the strongest of all not because it carries ribbons but because it carries a survivor's heart.
I hope you enjoyed this little bio! I am proud of the person I am today and I hope to become a stronger one tomorrow. ~ ♥ |
